The View Palm Jumeirah Adds Eight Glass Platforms

The View Palm Jumeirah in Dubai has introduced eight glass platforms to mark its fifth anniversary, with the attraction reported open on October 24, 2026. Called The Ledge at The View, the addition allows visitors to move beyond the observation deck and see the landscape through glass underfoot.

According to Gulf News, access to the new feature is included with general admission. The launch adds another way to see the surroundings at an attraction that began welcoming visitors in 2021.

What has been added to the observation deck?

Each of the eight platforms projects 1.5 metres out from the viewing deck. Visitors can look towards the horizon or direct their attention downwards through the transparent floor.

The platforms also provide space for posing and taking photographs. Their outward extension adds a different viewing position to the attraction’s existing panorama, with the glass beneath visitors’ feet forming a central part of the new feature.

For admission planning, visitors can consult the The View at The Palm tickets page and check the details for their intended visit.

Which views do the ledges offer?

Four platforms look towards Palm Jumeirah’s branches and outer crescent, with the Arabian Gulf beyond. The remaining four are oriented towards the Dubai skyline.

The report describes different lighting across the day, from blue daytime vistas to warm sunset tones and illuminated buildings after nightfall. Visitors interested in photography can consider which of these settings they prefer when planning their visit.

The two orientations give guests a choice of subjects: the Palm and surrounding water on one side, or the city skyline on the other.

What does the fifth anniversary mark?

The anniversary reflects five years of operation since the attraction opened in 2021. Over that period, it has received millions of visitors representing 130 countries.

The venue has also hosted 40 proposals, while 300 professional photographers have used its panoramic outlook to photograph the Palm and Dubai. The glass platforms are the latest addition to that established viewing experience.

What does this mean for visitors?

The report confirms that the ledges form part of general admission. Check the current admission information before booking, and confirm any access conditions directly with the attraction.

If arranging a wider itinerary, review Dubai tours alongside your planned visit. Travellers organising accommodation can also browse Dubai hotels as a separate part of their trip planning.
